Support Staff Role (Cover Supervisor & Teaching Assistant Blend) — September Start Position: Support Staff – Cover Supervisor & Teaching Assistant Location: Secondary School, Stockport Start Date: September 2025 Contract: Full-Time, Term Time Only Are you passionate about supporting learning and school operations? Join a thriving secondary school in Stockport as a versatile Support Staff member, combining Cover Supervisor duties with Teaching Assistant responsibilities. This role is perfect for candidates who enjoy working closely with students and staff, offering a supportive and structured environment to help pupils thrive. Key Responsibilities: Supervise whole classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain focused and engaged. Support teaching staff in classroom management and delivery of learning activities. Assist with interventions, small group work, and one-to-one support as required. Facilitate exam invigilation and other school-wide duties. Help maintain a safe, positive, and productive learning environment. Support with administrative tasks, including resource preparation and record keeping. What we are looking for: Experience working in education or with young people (ideally secondary age). Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively. Excellent communication skills and a confident approach to behaviour management.
