We are working with a range of welcoming and supportive secondary schools across Gateshead and South Tyneside who are seeking reliable and motivated individuals for a variety of support staff roles. About the Roles We are recruiting for a range of support positions within secondary schools, including: Teaching Assistants Learning Support Assistants Pastoral Support Staff Cover Supervisors Behaviour Support Staff Depending on your experience and preferences, you may work in classrooms, small group settings, or dedicated support units within schools. Your day-to-day role may include supporting students with their learning, helping manage behaviour, delivering targeted interventions, or providing pastoral support to help students stay engaged and succeed. Key Responsibilities Supporting students in lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4 Providing one-to-one or small group support Assisting with behaviour management and student engagement Helping students with additional needs, including SEND and SEMH Working closely with teachers and pastoral teams Promoting a positive, safe, and inclusive school environment The Ideal Candidate We are looking for individuals who are enthusiastic, adaptable, and committed to supporting young people. You may be suitable if you have: Experience working with children or young people (education, care, coaching, youth work, etc.) Strong communication and interpersonal skills A patient, calm, and supportive approach The ability to work well as part of a team An interest in education, psychology, or youth support   A degree or relevant qualification is beneficial but not essential.
