Job Description
BBS Recruitment is an independent recruitment agency for the transport and logistics sector, supplying to a variety of clients across London, Hertfordshire, and the surrounding areas. We also recruit for Social Care and Public Sector roles.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Children’s Support Worker to work for our client based in Hertfordshire and the surrounding areas.
Role Purpose:
The role is to provide high-quality care and support to children and young people (0–18 years) with Autism and Learning Disabilities, helping them develop independence, confidence, and life skills in a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities

Provide personalised care and support with daily routines, personal care, and activities
*
Support communication and behaviour needs using appropriate strategies
*
Promote inclusion, independence, and choice
*
Work closely with families, schools, and other professionals
*
Ensure safeguarding, health, and wellbeing at all times
Working Hours: 10am - 2pm ( Variosu shifts available, however we are looking for someone who can work on the weekends)
Requirements:
*
Previous experience supporting children/young people with Autism, Learning Disabilities, or complex needs
*
Compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills
*
Willingness to work flexible shifts (including evenings and weekends)
*
Enhanced DBS on the update service
*
Right to work in the UK
*
Full UK driving licence
*
Relevant training or qualifications (e.g. Autism Awareness, Safeguarding, First Aid, PBS)
