Support Worker (Autism Support)
 Location: Southport, Merseyside
 Start Date: ASAP
 Pay: £90 - £100 per day

Are you passionate about supporting children with autism? We're looking for a dedicated Support Worker to join an Outstanding Autism School in Southport. This role offers a unique opportunity to help students with autism thrive in a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with autism during lessons and activities.

Assist with academic and personal development, supporting students to reach their full potential.

Implement behaviour management strategies, using de-escalation techniques to create a calm learning environment.

Work closely with teachers, parents, and external professionals to ensure the holistic development of each student.

Adapt learning materials and tasks to meet students' individual needs.

Monitor and report on progress, providing feedback to the teaching team.

Ideal Candidate:

Experience working with children with autism or a strong interest in autism support.

Empathetic and patient, with a passion for supporting children's growth.

Strong knowledge of behaviour management techniques.

Ability to work well in a team and communicate effectively with staff and parents.

Positive and adaptable attitude, with a commitment to making a difference.

Requirements:

Enhanced DBS Disclosure.

Right to work in the UK.

Available for a registration interview.
