Job Description

Stephen James Consulting is working with an established independent children’s care home provider to recruit a Residential Care Worker in Cannock.

Join a supportive, homely environment and help deliver high-quality, trauma-informed care to young people. You’ll work as part of a dedicated team, supporting emotional wellbeing, development, and positive outcomes, while maintaining regulatory compliance and operational standards.

Key Details:

  * Location: Cannock

  * Hours: 37.5/week (including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, sleep-ins)

  * Reports to: Senior Residential Care Worker / Deputy Manager / Registered Manager

Requirements:

  * Understanding of Children’s Homes Regulations 2015 & Ofsted standards

  * Experience supporting young people

  * Emotional resilience and strong communication

  * Safeguarding commitment

  * Team player with flexible approach

Desirable:

  * Residential care experience

  * Knowledge of trauma-informed care or attachment theory

Enhanced DBS check required
