Children’s Residential Support Worker – EBD
Location: Colchester, Essex | Salary: £14.00 p/h + £50 per sleep-in | Full-Time, Permanent
We’re seeking a Children’s Support Worker to join a thriving, child-focused residential home in Colchester, supporting young people with Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD). You’ll be joining a stable, compassionate team where your voice is valued, and your work makes a meaningful difference every day.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with hands-on care experience and a passion for helping children grow in confidence, independence, and resilience.

Key Requirements:

NVQ Level 3 in Residential Childcare or equivalent (or working towards)
*
Minimum 2 years’ experience in residential childcare

Strong understanding of safeguarding, trauma, and child development

Emotionally resilient, patient, and child-focused
*
Confident in managing challenging behaviour and daily routines
*
UK driving licence – essential
*
Must live within 20 miles of Colchester
