Job Description

Support Worker Coordinator Location: Glenfield, Leicestershire Client: Leicestershire County Council Sector: Children and Family Services Salary: £15.66 Contract Type: Temp Hours: Full-time Role Overview Leicestershire County Council is seeking a SENA Support Worker Coordinator to provide specialist administrative support across designated teams within Children and Family Services. This role ensures the effective flow of work into Business Support, supports multi-agency liaison, and contributes to high-quality services for children, young people, and families. Key Duties May Include • Providing specialist administrative and coordination support across locality teams • Supporting the development and monitoring of service standards and performance • Managing correspondence, duty lines, and service inboxes • Composing reports, correspondence, and meeting documentation • Assisting with FOIs, data breaches, and complaints • Organising and servicing internal and external meetings • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders and partner agencies • Maintaining service records, including contact rotas, risk assessments, and venue bookings • Supporting EHCP plan updates and health record tracking • Undertaking financial processes, including BACS, Imprest, and P-card transactions Key Responsibilities • Maintain accurate records and databases and provide reports and summaries • Ensure information is held securely and complies with Data Protection and GDPR • Provide advice and information to colleagues, partners, and the public • Line manage administrative staff, including supervision and performance reviews • Contribute to service continuity through cross-coverage and flexible working • Represent the service in meetings and working groups as required • Support contact arrangements, transport, and venue bookings for families • Produce and track required documentation from partner agencies What They're Looking For • NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent qualification/experience • Experience in administrative and financial environments • Knowledge of Children’s Services, safeguarding, and relevant legislation • Experience working in multi-agency settings and with a range of stakeholders • Strong written, verbal, and IT communication skills • Ability to organise, prioritise, and work flexibly under pressure Skills & Competencies • Clear and accurate communication in person, on the phone, and in writing • Excellent organisational and administrative skills • High-level IT skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to handle challenging situations • Confidentiality and professionalism • Initiative and self-motivation • Effective teamworking and leadership capabilities • Ability to create and interpret statistical reportsIf you are interested in the role and would like to contact me for further information on the role you can contact myself on the details below.  At Service Care Solutions we also offer a £250 bonus for referrals!
