Job Description
Female Support Worker – Tunbridge Wells, Kent
Location: Tunbridge Wells
Salary: £24,829 per annum (pro rata)
Hours: Full-time – 39 hrs/week
Requirement: Full UK driving licence (must be willing to drive service vehicles)
The Role
Join a respected supported living service supporting adults with autism, learning disabilities, and behaviours of concern to live full, independent lives. You'll deliver day-to-day care and facilitate meaningful community engagement.
Key Duties
*
Support daily living, personal care, and access to the community
*
Promote independence and build supportive relationships
*
Assist with meal preparation, finances, and household tasks
*
Drive individuals to activities including shops, parks, and cafés
*
Act as keyworker, maintaining person-centred plans
*
Uphold safeguarding and maintain accurate documentation
Shifts: 7:30am–10:00pm, including long days across Monday to Sunday
About You
No care experience required. Full training is provided.
Essential:
*
Full UK driving licence
*
Good communication (spoken and written)
*
Compassionate, patient, and respectful approach
*
Ability to follow procedures and respond flexibly to needs
*
Willingness to provide personal care
Desirable:
*
Prior care/support experience
*
Knowledge of autism, mental health, or Makaton
*
Awareness of safeguarding and data protection
*
Basic IT skills (email, digital records)
