Job Description

Support Worker (Young Adults) – Permanent Role 

Salary: £12.87 – £14.03 per hour (dependent on competency & qualifications)
 Bonus: £1,500 welcome bonus*
 Location: Residential Home (Cambridge area)
⏰ Hours: 40 hours per week (part-time available, minimum 24 hours)
 Training: Full training provided + funded Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care after probation

We are recruiting on behalf of a highly rated, specialist residential setting (CQC Outstanding) supporting young adults with severe and profound learning difficulties and complex health needs.

Set within 14 acres of beautiful grounds, this service provides a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where young adults are empowered to develop independence and transition into adulthood.

The Role

As a Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in enhancing the lives of young adults by providing both practical and emotional support.

Your responsibilities will include:

Assisting with personal care (toileting, dressing, hygiene, and appearance)
Supporting health and medical needs 
Helping in therapies such as hydrotherapy and rebound therapy 
Encouraging independence and choice in daily activities
Supporting activities like:

Shopping trips ️
Outdoor and forestry sessions 
Creative activities 
Social outings (yes—even trips to the pub!) ️

*Welcome bonus paid in two instalments: 50% after successful probation and 50% after one year of service.
