Job Description

Support Worker (Young Adults) – Permanent Role Salary: £12.87 – £14.03 per hour (dependent on competency & qualifications) Bonus: £1,500 welcome bonus* Location: Residential Home (Cambridge area) ⏰ Hours: 40 hours per week (part-time available, minimum 24 hours) Training: Full training provided + funded Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care after probation About the Opportunity We are recruiting on behalf of a highly rated, specialist residential setting (CQC Outstanding) supporting young adults with severe and profound learning difficulties and complex health needs. Set within 14 acres of beautiful grounds, this service provides a safe, engaging, and supportive environment where young adults are empowered to develop independence and transition into adulthood.  Facilities include: ✨ Sensory gardens ✨ Hydrotherapy pool ✨ Skills centre & enterprise opportunities ✨ Forestry school ✨ Dedicated art & music spaces The Role As a Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in enhancing the lives of young adults by providing both practical and emotional support. Your responsibilities will include: Assisting with personal care (toileting, dressing, hygiene, and appearance) Supporting health and medical needs  Helping in therapies such as hydrotherapy and rebound therapy  Encouraging independence and choice in daily activities Supporting activities like: Shopping trips ️ Outdoor and forestry sessions Creative activities Social outings (yes—even trips to the pub!) ️ Every day is different, and flexibility is key – you’ll be part of a team that adapts to meet individual needs. ✅ What We’re Looking For We’re seeking compassionate, resilient individuals who: Have a genuine passion for helping others Are willing to learn and go the extra mile Have strong communication skills and patience Are positive, resilient, and adaptable Can think creatively to meet individual needs Can work a rota, including every other weekend Why Apply?
