Location: Alnwick, Northumberland
Pay: £12.60 per hour
Hours: Full-time (40 hours per week)

Are you someone who is passionate about helping others live their best lives? We’re looking for Support Workers in Alnwick to join a person-centred care team providing meaningful support to adults with learning disabilities, autism, physical disabilities, and a range of other support needs.

What You’ll Do
As a Support Worker, your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting individuals with day-to-day tasks, including personal care, meal preparation, and community engagement
* Encouraging independence, choice, and wellbeing
* Building positive, trusting relationships with service users
* Accurately recording support provided and any relevant observations
* Collaborating with families, health professionals, and colleagues to deliver high-quality care
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
* Minimum 6 months’ experience in a care or support role
* A caring, compassionate, and patient approach
* Strong communication skills
* Flexibility to work varied shifts (including evenings, weekends, and potential sleep-ins)
* A commitment to person-centred support
* DBS registered on the update service
Desirable:
* A full UK driving licence
* NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Health & Social Care (or working towards qualification)
