We're Hiring: Day Support Worker – Extra Care Support (Walton-on-Thames)
Location: Walton-on-Thames
Facility: Extra Care Scheme supporting 55 independent elderly residents
Hours: 7:00am – 7:15pm, 3 shifts per week (8-week rolling rota)
Pay Rate: £13.00 per hour
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of older people? We are looking for a compassionate and reliable Day Support Worker to join our dedicated team in a welcoming extra care facility.
About the Role:
As a Day Support Worker, you’ll play a vital role in helping our residents maintain their independence in a supportive, community-focused environment.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Carrying out regular welfare checks
Providing friendly companionship and emotional support
Encouraging and facilitating independent living
Organising and supporting social activities to promote engagement and wellbeing
Working collaboratively with Housing, Property, and Community teams to ensure holistic support
What We’re Looking For:
A kind and approachable personality
Good communication skills
A genuine interest in the wellbeing of elderly people
Previous experience in a care or support setting (preferred but not essential)
