Specialist Support Worker - Learning Disabilities & Autism
Location: East Yorkshire
Contract: Temporary (3 months)
Salary: £15.75 per hour
Hours: 10:00 - 18:00, flexible patterns including weekends
The Role
Join our client's established care team supporting adults with learning disabilities and autism in a complex needs environment. You'll provide person-centred care, develop support plans, and help service users achieve greater independence.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver personalised care and support
* Medication management and personal care
* Community participation and social inclusion
* Mentor team members on Positive Behaviour Support
* Act as shift leader when required
Requirements
Essential:
* NVQ 2/3 Health & Social Care (or working towards)
* Experience with learning disabilities/autism
* Strong communication skills
* Flexible approach to shift patterns
* DBS clearable
Desirable:
* Knowledge of safeguarding procedures
* Crisis intervention experience
* Team leadership skills
