Role Description:
We are currently recruiting for experience support workers for Lichfield Close in Netherton, that provides residential support and care in a home from home environment for 3 gentlemen with Learning and Physical difficulties.
We provide excellent care in homely, pleasant surroundings offering privacy and independence. At Nugent Community Choices, we are proud of what we do on a daily basis and work with the ethos of “would we ourselves or our relatives be happy to receive this service?”
We support people to live well, maintain their own tenancies and require staff that can make a positive difference in peoples’ lives.
Our principles set a foundation on which we base providing effective support and your role will be key to an individual’s life. All of our services offer individual packages but based on the individual we are supporting being the key decision-maker.
At Lichfield Close, our dedicated staff work on a rota basis to support three gentlemen with learning and physical difficulties.
Experience and Skills:
* Good listening and communication skills with people with a learning disability.
* Experience supporting individuals with learning and physical difficulties.
* Ability to encourage and enable service users to make choices and take control of their lives, and increase independence.
* Ability to assist Service Users in all areas of personal care in ways that maintain independence, privacy and dignity.
* Ability to liaise and communicate effectively with a range of people and professionals, as listed in the job description.
* Ability to respond to and complete paperwork.
* Good organisational skills.
* Good teamwork skills. Basic IT Skills (Microsoft Office Packages)
