Support Worker – Older Adults & Adults with Disabilities Location: Park View Day Centre, Solihull Council
Rate: £13.47 per hour
Hours: 30 hours per week (Monday to Friday, 9:30am – 3:30pm)

We are currently recruiting on behalf of Solihull Council for a Support Worker to join their team at Park View Day Centre, working with older adults and adults with disabilities. This is a rewarding and hands-on opportunity to make a real difference in people’s lives through day-to-day engagement and support.
? Key Responsibilities:
Support adults with a range of disabilities and age-related needs in a day centre environment.
Facilitate and assist with meaningful daytime activities including games, crafts, gentle exercise, and social sessions.
Offer personal care and mobility assistance as needed, using appropriate manual handling techniques.
Build positive and trusting relationships with service users, promoting independence and dignity at all times.
Work collaboratively with other team members to ensure a safe, engaging, and inclusive setting.
Accurately maintain basic records and report any changes in service users’ needs.
? Requirements:
Previous experience as a Support Worker or similar role within social care or day centre settings.
Manual handling training is essential.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Empathy, patience, and a commitment to high-quality person-centred care.
A DBS on the Update Service is desirable or willingness to undergo one.
