Support Worker – Waking Nights Are you a passionate Waking Night Support Worker looking for your next role? 4Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for a Support Worker to work within a service based in Scotland. Pay Rates: £12.21 - £15.75 Umbrella Rates Information the Role: Successful candidate will initially be placed on a 13-week temporary contract working 37.5 hours with view to be permanent. What you will be doing: To support individuals with learning disabilities and/or any other support need to live as independently as possible in their own homes, managing the day to days tasks required to keep them and their living environments safe. To empower individuals to experience the lifestyle of their choice, through offering practical assistance, guidance, encouragement and support to develop and maintain skills and interests. Assisting with daily living tasks, promoting wellbeing, and following individual support plans. Personal Care: Assist clients with washing, dressing, and personal hygiene while upholding their dignity and privacy. Daily Living Skills: Help with household chores such as cleaning and laundry, meal preparation, and managing budgets and bills. Health and Wellbeing: Administer or prompt medication, perform routine health checks, monitor and report any changes in a client's health, and assist with appointments. Emotional Support: Provide a listening ear and emotional support to clients and their families and encourage social inclusion through hobbies and community activities. Support Planning: Work with clients to develop, implement, and review person-centered support plans that meet their specific needs. Record Keeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including daily logs, incident reports, and care plans. Collaboration: Liaise with other professionals, such as nurses, GPs, and social workers, to ensure a coordinated approach to care. Community Access: Support clients to access and participate in community activities, social events, and educational or work opportunities. To perform such other reasonable duties as may be assigned by the Senior Support Worker, Service Manager, Registered Manager or requested by the person receiving support. Skills & Professional Characteristics needed: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Empathetic, patient, and non-judgmental attitude. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Willingness to undertake training and follow policies and procedures. Flexibility to work in any/all areas where there is a business need. Previous experience in a similar role is often an advantage, but not always essential. A driving licence is not essential however is welcomed for this role Essential Requirements: To register with the SSSC within 3 months of employment. Relevant qualifications, such as a SVQ3 in health & social care or equivalent, required or a commitment to complete in line with your SSSC requirements.
