Job Description

Support Worker – Young People (Cheltenham, Gloucestershire) Empower. Inspire. Support. Pay: £12.30 – £13.00 per hour + sleep-in allowance Hours: 152–169 per month (rolling rota, evenings, weekends & sleep-ins) Contract: Temp-to-Perm opportunity Location: Cheltenham, GL51 Are you passionate about making a real difference in young people’s lives? We’re looking for dedicated Support Workers to join a committed team, guiding and empowering young people aged 16–25 as they transition into adulthood. What You’ll Do: * Build trusted, supportive relationships with young people. * Teach and encourage life skills – from budgeting to cooking. * Promote independence while ensuring safety and well-being. * Support access to education, training, and employment. * Maintain high standards in line with Ofsted requirements. * Keep clear, accurate records and champion young people’s voices. About You: * Experience supporting young people (supported accommodation experience desirable). * Strong communication, patience, and resilience – especially in challenging situations. * Safeguarding knowledge and a commitment to professional conduct. * Flexible to work shifts, weekends, and sleep-ins. * Willingness to work towards QCF Level 3 (desirable if already achieved).
