Job Description
Are you a compassionate, hardworking individual with a passion for supporting children with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD)? We are currently seeking an enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a dynamic and nurturing special school located in the Witney area.
This role is available for an immediate start on an ad hoc basis, with a strong possibility of moving into a full-time permanent position for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting pupils with PMLD in a classroom setting
* Assisting with personal care, including feeding, toileting, and hygiene needs
* Helping to implement individual education and care plans
* Promoting independence, dignity, and inclusion for all learners
* Working closely with a multidisciplinary team of teachers, therapists, and carers
Requirements:
* A genuine passion for working with children with complex needs
* A proactive and positive approach to supporting learning and wellbeing
* Willingness to assist with all aspects of personal care
* Experience in a similar setting is desirable, but not essential
* Flexibility to work on an ad hoc basis, with the drive to secure a long-term opportunity
