Job Description
Sustainability Advisor (12-month contract).
Telford, Shropshire.
Manufacturing Business.
£35,000 per annum.
Working Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm (Monday – Friday).
Owing to consistent orders and demand for their products, a long established, globally recognised, FMCG manufacturing company has a requirement for a Sustainability Advisor to join their commercial team.
Role Description.
* Lead on ESG data measurements to feed into internal dashboards, sustainability committee reports, external reporting and decision-making processes.
* Contribute to the design and creation of a reporting system.
* Compliance monitoring activities and provide basic advice on compliance and regulatory requirements.
* Prepare content for the Annual Sustainability Report in line with international sustainability reporting standards (ESRS, GRI, IFRS).
* Co-ordinate the completion of ESG surveys.
* Co-ordinate with each commercial entity the data collection and calculation of Product Carbon Footprints in accordance with International Standards.
* Monitor and analyse sustainability performance to make improvements, ensuring competitiveness.
* Collaborate with the Group Communications and Commercial Teams to support with customer communications.
* Support Group Communications Manager with the development of sustainability communication campaigns through the provision of data and insight.
* Attend relevant sustainability related events and expo’s where appropriate to research and discover industry, sustainability and competitor trends.
Skills and Qualifications
* Proven track record of effective data-based collection, trend analysis & drawing conclusions and making recommendations based on analysis.
* Good knowledge of database reporting.
* Strong awareness of ESG.
* Passion for sustainability issues.
* Good IT knowledge – Excel.
