Job Description
We are currently seeking a reliable and responsible 3.5T Driver to join our team, collecting clinical waste from various healthcare facilities, including hospitals, clinics, and care homes within the borough of Enfield. This role is vital in ensuring the safe and compliant removal and transportation of clinical waste, contributing to a clean and safe environment.
This is a temporary position with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
Safely operate a 3.5-ton vehicle to collect and transport clinical waste.
Follow pre-planned collection routes efficiently and on schedule.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, including correct handling of hazardous waste.
Complete all required documentation and logs accurately (digital or paper-based).
Provide excellent customer service when dealing with site staff and clients.
Maintain vehicle cleanliness and report any mechanical issues promptly.
Wear and maintain appropriate PPE at all times.
Requirements:
Full UK driving licence (Category B) - clean or with minimal points.
Previous driving experience in a similar role is preferred.
Physically fit - some lifting and handling of clinical waste containers is required.
Knowledge of waste handling procedures and health & safety practices is desirable (training provided).
Must be reliable, punctual, and have good communication skills.
Able to work independently and follow instructions precisely.
