Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Plant Fitter to join our team in a hybrid role that combines workshop-based tasks with on-site responsibilities. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional to work on a variety of plant machinery, including excavators, crushers, loading shovels, and more. The role offers a competitive salary of £46,000 basic, with additional benefits such as a company van, fuel card, and overtime opportunities.
Responsibilities
Conduct maintenance, servicing, and repairs on a wide range of plant machinery, including excavators, crushers, and loading shovels.
Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic faults efficiently.
Perform both workshop-based and on-site repairs, ensuring minimal downtime for equipment.
Adhere to health and safety regulations while working in the workshop and on-site.
Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and time spent on each task.
Provide excellent customer service when working on-site, representing the company in a professional manner.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Plant Fitter or similar role, with expertise in maintaining and repairing plant machinery.
Strong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Full UK driving license is essential.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Relevant qualifications in plant maintenance or engineering are desirable but not essential.
Day-to-Day
Start your day by reviewing scheduled tasks and prioritizing urgent repairs.
Perform routine maintenance and servicing of plant machinery in the workshop.
Travel to client sites to diagnose and repair equipment, ensuring minimal disruption to operations.
Collaborate with the team to share knowledge and resolve complex issues.

Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues to ensure smooth operations.
