Job Description
An exciting opportunity for a Synthetic Organic Chemist to join a growing specialty chemicals business with a strong focus on innovation and sustainability.
The Role
Design, synthesise and characterise novel organic compounds to support new product development.
Apply synthetic organic chemistry and organic synthesis skills to lab, pilot, and full-scale trials.
Analyse and interpret data, presenting findings to project teams.
Drive process improvements, cost reduction, and innovation across product lines.
Ensure safe and compliant lab practices.
About You
Degree/MSc in Chemistry (focus on Synthetic Organic Chemistry).
2+ years’ R&D or chemical manufacturing experience.
Proven skills in organic synthesis and associated analytical techniques.
Strong problem-solving, communication and project management abilities.
Self-starter with drive to innovate.
Understanding of PRINCE2
Driving licence and own car desirable due to location
