Furniture & Floor Coverings Systems Co-ordinator Location: Kettering, Northamptonshire Salary: Up to £25,235 per annum Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week An exciting opportunity has become available for a Furniture & Floor Coverings Systems Co-ordinator to join a well-established, internationally recognised technical organisation based in Kettering. The successful candidate will support the Furniture & Floor Coverings business areas by maintaining and developing quality management and health and safety systems. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong organisational skills, a keen eye for detail, and an interest in quality assurance and compliance within a laboratory or technical environment. The Role Reporting to the Business Area Managers, the Systems Co-ordinator will play a key role in supporting the Quality Management System (QMS) and ensuring compliance with ISO 17025 accreditation requirements. Responsibilities will include maintaining quality documentation, supporting audits, performing calibrations and risk assessments, coordinating testing activities, and assisting with health and safety compliance. Key responsibilities include: Maintaining and improving quality-related documentation, including calibration certificates, maintenance records, software and spreadsheet validations, and certificates of conformity. Performing equipment calibrations, drift analysis, risk assessments, witnessed assessments, and measurement uncertainty activities. Managing check testing and inter-laboratory trial participation. Supporting annual UKAS audits, coordinating audit activities, and monitoring improvement actions. Assisting with ISO 17025 accreditation scope extensions. Creating and updating standard operating procedures (SOPs). Supporting compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures. Maintaining training and competency records. Purchasing and verifying standard reference materials. Completing COSHH documentation where required. About the Candidate The ideal candidate will have excellent attention to detail, strong organisational skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. They will be comfortable managing multiple priorities while maintaining high standards of accuracy. Essential requirements: A minimum of two years' laboratory experience, or A Levels (or equivalent) in a science-based subject or Mathematics. Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach. Strong organisational and time management skills. Ability to follow procedures accurately and work independently. Good written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office. Strong problem-solving abilities. Understanding of the importance of working within a quality management system. Flexible, reliable, and able to adapt to changing priorities. Desirable experience: Experience of quality management systems such as ISO 17025 or ISO 9001. Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures. Customer-focused approach. Ability to learn new skills quickly.
