We are excited to be hiring a highly motivated and engaging System Development and Training Officer to join our dynamic and forward-thinking Systems Training Team based at Woodhatch Place in Reigate.
This is a hybrid role and officers attend offices across the county on a regular basis to support Children's Service colleagues and stakeholders with the development and delivery of system training.

The role reports into the Head of the System Development, Training and Support Service and the service sits within the Strategy, Commissioning, Transformation and Support Directorate. The team works across Children's Social Care, Early Help and Education services, supporting and delivering training on children's case management systems, enabling practitioners to undertake their work in supporting children and young people.
As a System Development and Training Officer, you will play a key role in supporting the delivery of statutory and strategic transformation initiatives by equipping staff with the knowledge and confidence to use our systems effectively and efficiently.
The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, delivering, and evaluating training programmes that enable employees to confidently use Children's Services systems and technologies. You will work closely with system development and support services, system owners, project teams, subject matter experts, and end users to develop learning solutions that improve capability, increase user adoption, and deliver benefits to children and young people.
Working within the Children's Services System Development, Training and Support Service, you will operate in an agile environment to support the implementation and optimisation of digital systems.
Your focus will be on:
Designing, developing, and delivering system and process training for employees at all levels
Creating engaging learning materials, including user guides, quick reference guides, videos, webinars, and e-learning content
Supporting system implementations and upgrades through training needs analysis and training delivery
Assessing learner competence and gathering feedback to continuously improve training programmes
Maintaining training records and reporting on training effectiveness
Working with stakeholders to identify skills gaps and recommending learning solutions
Providing coaching and floor-walking support during system rollouts

Your Application

Understanding and experience of case management systems (e.g., social care systems such as Liquidlogic)
Excellent communication, influencing and stakeholder engagement abilities
Practical or professional experience and understanding of Children's services and/or Education services, supporting service teams and/or providing support to the public
Relevant Training or Learning and Development qualification
High proficiency in Microsoft tools (PowerPoint, SharePoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
