We are looking for a Systems Engineer with strong experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) to support our automotive client in Leicestershire. Embedded within the Electrical & Electronic Systems department, this role is critical to the specification and delivery of innovative features.
As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining system solution specifications, resolving technical issues, and ensuring the traceability and quality of system-level deliverables.

Responsibilities:
* Support the creation, update, and maintenance of system solution specification documents using PREEvision.
* Assist in defining CAN and LIN communication structures and support fault handling/diagnostics strategy.
* Independently review issues raised by component owners or validation teams and propose viable resolutions.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve technical issues with minimal impact on programme cost and schedule.
* Ensure that deliverables are reviewed by appropriate stakeholders before release.
* Follow defined MBSE team processes and manage tasks accordingly.
Who We Are Looking For:
* BEng or MEng in Systems Engineering or a relevant discipline (HND with relevant experience will also be considered).
* Exposure to Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) practices.
* Knowledge of UML / SYSML modelling and requirements management techniques.
* Proficient in using tools for writing and managing natural language requirements.
* Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook).
It Would Be An Asset If You Also Have:
* Familiarity with automotive communication protocols (CAN / LIN).
* Experience in automotive, industrial, or manufacturing environments.
* Experience using PREEvision or similar architecture/requirements tools.
* Understanding of logical system architecture design.

* Strong communicator with a logical and analytical approach to problem-solving.
* Professional in presentation and conduct.
* Flexible with working hours and open to occasional UK and overseas travel.
Education
* BEng or MEng in Systems Engineering or equivalent.
