Systems Engineer
– Fully Remote
– Up to £50,000 + Bonus
We’re working with a fast-scaling tech business in the payments space, currently hiring multiple Systems Engineers to support their evolving infrastructure environment.
This is a fully remote, UK-based role offering the opportunity to work with a modern stack across cloud, virtualisation, automation, and enterprise systems — ideal for engineers looking to grow in a generalist, hands-on environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
* Supporting and maintaining infrastructure across Windows, Linux, VMware, and cloud platforms.
* Working with tools like Terraform and Ansible to improve automation and systems maturity.
* Managing daily patching, backups (Rubrik), and overall platform performance.
* Contributing to compliance frameworks (including PCI DSS) and supporting services such as Office365 and Exchange Online.
What We’re Looking For
* 1–3 years' experience in Systems or Infrastructure Engineering.
* Experience with Windows/Linux, virtualisation (VMware), and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
* Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Ansible, Terraform) and automation practices.
* A proactive mindset with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
Bonus if you’ve worked with:
* Juniper or next-generation firewalls
* Backup tools such as Rubrik or Veeam
* Monitoring and scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell)
