Systems Engineer (Servers & Infrastructure)
Fully remote with travel to UK sites (Slough, Milton Keynes) - driving licence essential
Up to £50,000
Are you a Systems Engineer (Servers & Infrastructure) with 4+ years' experience…ready to own and evolve a mission-critical estate? This remote opportunity (with occasional site travel) will see you designing, building and maintaining virtual and physical server infrastructure across private and public cloud environments.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage and maintain our virtual and physical server infrastructure: installations, configurations, updates, performance monitoring and troubleshooting
Monitor and respond to alerts via our systems-monitoring solutions
Configure and maintain Azure cloud-based services and assist with Microsoft 365 E5 administration
Oversee patch management and deployment systems; provide occasional out-of-hours support
Support the IT helpdesk team, process ticketed requests and document processes
What You'll Bring:
Minimum 4 years in an IT systems administration role
Hands-on expertise with Windows & Linux server OS, VMware (or equivalent) virtualisation and Azure
Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, security-vulnerability monitoring and anti-virus troubleshooting
Strong documentation skills and a proactive, self-starting approach
Comfortable supporting a geographically diverse, 24/7 environment and agile in adopting new technologies
