About the Role
Join our Mission Planning Systems Team and play a vital role in developing cutting-edge mission planning solutions that support some of the world’s most advanced defence capabilities.
In the role of Mission Planning Systems Engineer, you’ll work across the full engineering life cycle — from initial concept development through to in-service support and customer training. You’ll have the chance to work hands-on with real mission planning equipment, collaborate with customers and end users, and engage with a wide variety of engineering teams across the UK and France.

Key responsibilities
*
Conducting systems design activities for mission planning products and associated capabilities.
*
Contributing to requirements capture, design reviews, system integration, testing, and full product verification and certification.
*
Working closely with UK and French Systems and Software teams to ensure robust design and thorough system validation.
*
Engaging directly with customers, end-users, and internal stakeholders across the company.
*
Being hands-on with operational mission planning equipment used for real-world systems.
What you will need
*
Strong understanding of Systems Engineering processes, ideally with experience across the full development lifecycle.
*
Recent experience in a Systems Engineering role.
*
Proficiency with requirements capture and configuration management tools (e.g., DOORS).
*
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across multiple teams and locations.
*
Strong analytical and technical problem-solving abilities.
*
A general understanding of mission planning principles (beneficial, not essential).
*
Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
