Experience with Systems/Hardware engineering is a must, but willing to consider all industries that may encompass this, although experience with Audio would be hugely beneficial.

Job Overview:
As a Systems Development Engineer, you will play a key role in defining and developing leading-edge products for the rail industry. In addition, as a key member of the engineering team, you will be involved in all aspects of the product development including; architecture, simulation, design, design verification and introduction into manufacturing. In this position, you will work closely with other hardware and software engineers. This position is for an engineer who enjoys working in detail and thrives on delivering solutions at the highest performance level.
Responsibilities:
Part of the product design team responsible for the design, co-ordination and development of a new range of rail products.
Responsible for all aspects of the system engineering process across the whole of the lifecycle including:
* Investigation and Evaluation.
* Modeling.
* Integration.
* Launch.
* Performance Assessment.
* Verification/Validation activities.
* Provide day to day support to the engineering group in the Specification, Design, Development, Test and Trials in Support of Systems, Hardware and Software for all Products and Services.
Requirements:
The perfect candidate would possess all of the following skillset:
* An Industrial/Technology/Transportation or Defence type background.
* Minimum Degree qualified with a Systems/Electronics/Hardware background.
* Prior experience in (a) similar role(s) in Systems Product Development.
* Hardware Design o Analogue/Digital Electronics Design o PCB Prototype Design/Manufacture/Test
* PCB CAE Tools
* Component Board Level Diagnostics.
* Mechanical Design
* 2D CAE
* 3D CAE
* Experience of creating and reading of technical schematics and documentation. o Use of Electronic Test Instruments: Logic Analyser, Oscilloscope, Signal Generator, RF Probe.
* System Test
* EMC Certification. System Integration Testing.
* Onsite Commission/Pass off.
* Strong documentation and writing skills
* Good customer facing and presentation skills.
Experience with any of the following types of Software System Architecture is highly beneficial:
* Embedded, Real-Time, Multi-Thread, Multi-Processor/Multi-Core systems.
