Our client, a leading organisation in the Defence & Security sector, is currently seeking a Systems Performance Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis. As a Systems Performance Engineer within one of their systems engineering teams, you will provide performance prediction and analysis expertise to major defence programmes, developing the latest Complex Weapons capabilities for the UK Armed Forces in response to advanced threats in all domains (Air, Land, Sea).
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and conduct technical studies into missile performance using complex mathematical models to understand key system design choices
Develop a comprehensive understanding of how the wider system affects performance and the impact of design changes
Collaborate with SMEs in Aerodynamics, Propulsion, Lethality, Guidance, Control & Navigation, and Seekers to understand their contributions to system performance
Report performance data clearly and concisely in internal design reviews and external performance statements to customers
Utilise expertise to help develop training material for new engineers
Job Requirements:
Excellent analytical skills
Experience in running and analysing complex computer simulations, such as 6 Degrees of Freedom models
Competency with MATLAB

Dynamic (hybrid) working: 5 days per week on-site due to workload classification
