Job Description
Systems Support Specialist
* Office-based in Southampton, Hampshire
* £38,000 to £42,000 per year
* Plus an excellent company benefits package
The Opportunity:
I’m on the lookout for an ambitious individual to participate in the repair, testing and commissioning of cutting edge roadside camera systems.
You will come from a background in electronics with a thorough understanding of how to configure local network addresses, as well as the ability to create step by step test documentation.
Training will be provided to cover any gaps in IT knowledge, as well as being presented with opportunities to pick up additional skills and responsibilities.
Skills and Experience:
* A background in diagnosing board level electronics/hardware systems
* Experience in setting up static IP addresses on local networks
* Experience of creating step by step test documents
* A keen interest or exposure to dealing with software issues (operating systems, configuration files, etc.)
* A willingness to learn and develop your skill set in order to advance within the company structure
* Able to pass basic criminal background checks
Role and Responsibilities:
* Diagnose to board level, repair and test hardware systems
* Deliver remote support to field teams across the UK and Europe
* Maintain accurate technical and inventory documentation
* Identify and implement process improvements
* Comply with all safety, quality and regulatory requirements
* Participate in installations, testing and commissioning where required
