Job Description
Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join Kirklees Council on a 3-6 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
This role requires 1 day per week on site in Huddersfield.
What You’ll Be Doing

Lead on recruitment campaigns for a wide range of roles across the Council, with a focus on hard-to-fill and specialist positions.

Use LinkedIn Recruiter, Boolean searches, and creative sourcing techniques to identify and engage talent proactively.
*
Review and improve job adverts, candidate attraction methods, and campaign strategies.
*
Advise hiring managers on recruitment best practice, selection methods, and interview processes.
*
Support the recruitment of senior posts (up to Head of Service level), including interview panel coordination and candidate management.
*
Build effective relationships with internal stakeholders to understand workforce needs and deliver tailored recruitment solutions.
*
Contribute to continuous improvement in talent acquisition processes across the Council.
About You
You’re an experienced recruitment professional with strong stakeholder management skills and a hands-on approach to sourcing and candidate engagement. You understand what great talent acquisition looks like — and you’re confident advising managers on how to achieve it.
