Job Description
Are you looking for a role where each day will bring a new challenge and opportunities to progress? Working with one of the region’s leading independent accountancy firms, we’re looking for a Tax Assistant to support the compliance services we offer to a range of individual clients.
The role is available on a FT or PT basis with free parking and hybrid options.
23 days holiday plus bank holidays.
We are looking for applicants who are ATT qualified or part-qualified, with a fundamental understanding of UK tax compliance and familiarity with Tax preparation software.
Most importantly, we are looking for a hardworking individual who can work under pressure with strong communication skills.
Key Responsibilities for the Tax Assistant:
* Preparing tax returns for various clients, including income tax, capital gains tax calculations and rental and self-employed accounts.
* Undertaking and completing work assigned to you by senior staff, in line with agreed timescales, budgets and compliance with the applicable regulatory framework.
* Preparing draft correspondence to client queries.
* Build and maintain strong client relationships, providing excellent service and upholding the Firm’s reputation.
* Proactively managing workload, workflow and prioritising tasks effectively to safeguard the firm and clients’ deadlines are met.
