The Role
As a Personal Tax Manager, you will manage a varied portfolio of private clients, deliver tax compliance and advisory work, and provide expert guidance on areas such as inheritance tax (IHT), capital gains tax (CGT), and trusts. You'll also mentor junior staff and contribute to the development of the wider tax team.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage and grow your own portfolio of private tax clients
* Oversee the preparation and submission of self-assessment tax returns
* Provide high-level tax planning advice on IHT, CGT, and trusts
* Support and mentor junior team members
* Ensure accurate, compliant, and timely tax delivery
* Build strong relationships with clients and colleagues
About You
* ATT and/or CTA qualified
* 3+ years’ experience in personal tax, including management responsibilities
* Strong technical knowledge of UK personal tax legislation
* Excellent communicator with a client-first mindset
* Confident managing your own workload and mentoring others
* Organised, detail-oriented, and professional
