SEND Teacher – PMLD Specialist (Integrated Resource Base)

Location: Kirby

Hours: 08:45 – 15:45 (Monday to Friday)

Contract: Full-Time / Permanent

Salary: £150-£220 Per day

Are you a teacher who measures progress in milestones rather than just metrics? Our Integrated Resource Base (IRB) is looking for compassionate, resilient, and creative Teachers to join our PMLD department.

In this role, you won’t just be following a curriculum; you will be creating a world of sensory exploration, communication breakthroughs, and physical well-being for students with complex needs.

What You’ll Bring

    Qualified Teacher Status (QTS): Required.

    PMLD Expertise: Experience with sensory curricula, hoist training, or PECS/Makaton is a huge plus (but we also value a willingness to learn!).

    Adaptability: The ability to pivot your lesson plan based on a student’s medical or emotional needs.

  * 

    Empathy: A deep-seated belief that every child, regardless of their complexity, deserves an enriched and joyful education.

Key Responsibilities

  1. 

    Designing and delivering highly personalized sensory-based learning.

  2. 

    Leading a team of TAs to ensure personal care and medical protocols are met with dignity.

  3. 

    Liaising with parents and external healthcare professionals to provide holistic support.
