Monarch Education in partnership with a school in Wheatley is seeking to appoint a qualified and experienced SEND Teacher Position: SEND Teacher Location: Wheatley Contract: Full-Time, Long-Term Start Date: September 2025 Overview: We are recruiting for a dedicated and professional SEND Teacher to join a welcoming school in Wheatley. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality, inclusive education tailored to the needs of children with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities. This role requires a strong understanding of SEND legislation, excellent classroom management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Key Responsibilities: Design and implement bespoke lesson plans that meet the individual needs of students with SEND, ensuring progress across key areas of learning. Develop, review, and implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in collaboration with parents, carers, and external professionals. Assess, monitor, and evaluate student progress, making necessary adjustments to teaching approaches and strategies. Foster a safe, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning and emotional development. Work closely with teaching assistants, support staff, and external agencies to deliver cohesive and effective support for students. Contribute to team meetings, reviews, and ongoing professional development initiatives related to SEND. Support students' social and emotional well-being, promoting independence and positive behaviour.Person Specification: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential. Proven experience teaching children with SEND, with a solid understanding of relevant legislation and best practices. Ability to differentiate effectively and adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse needs. Strong communication, organisational, and teamwork skills.
