Primary Teacher - ASC/SEMH Specialist

Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a specialist ASC/SEMH school in the Leigh area, and we are seeking a dedicated Primary Teacher to join their team from September.
About the Role:
You will be working with small groups of primary-aged pupils who have a diagnosis of Autism (ASC), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs (SEMH), or related additional needs. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of trauma-informed practice, emotional regulation strategies, and a flexible, nurturing approach to teaching.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to meet the needs of pupils with ASC/SEMH.
Promote emotional regulation, resilience, and social development.
Work closely with a multi-disciplinary team including SENCOs, support staff, and therapists.
Build positive, trusting relationships with pupils, helping them feel safe and supported in their learning environment.
Maintain regular communication with parents/carers and contribute to EHCP reviews and progress reports.Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Experience working with children with ASC/SEMH, either in mainstream or specialist settings.
Strong behaviour management skills and a compassionate, patient approach.
