An excellent opportunity has arisen for a Teacher of English to join a well-regarded independent school in South West London. The school is looking for an enthusiastic and committed teacher to join the English department as soon as possible, initially through to the end of December, with the potential for the role to continue into 2027.
The successful candidate will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging English lessons across the relevant key stages, supporting students to achieve strong academic outcomes and contributing positively to the wider life of the school.
The Role

Teach English across KS4 and KS5 - Experience essential
*
Plan and deliver engaging, well-structured lessons
*
Assess, mark and provide constructive feedback to students
*
Support students of varying abilities through effective differentiation
*
Contribute to the wider English department and school community
*
Maintain high standards of behaviour, progress and attainment
The Ideal Candidate
*
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is desirable
*
Strong subject knowledge in English
*
Previous experience teaching in a secondary school or independent school setting
*
Experience teaching GCSE and A-Level English is essential
*
A-Level English teaching experience would be advantageous
*
Enthusiastic, reliable and passionate about teaching
*
Able to build positive relationships with students and colleagues
