The English Department holds a strong culture of high achieving standards and are seeking a Teacher of English who will promote the subject both passionately and positively.
Qualifying Candidates...
Hold Qualified Teacher Status and/or direct experience in teaching English at Secondary level?
Knowledge of English Curriculum at KS3 and KS4 level (desirably at KS5)
Passionate about English literature and language with a desire to inspire young learners
Effective classroom management, and the ability to engage students of varying abilities
Committed to personal development and contributing to the wider school community
Based in Milton Keynes (or commutable to)
Responsibilities - Teacher of English
Plan and deliver English lessons aligned with the curriculum
Assess and provide feedback on student work
Prepare students for formative and summative assessment
Manage classroom behaviour and engagement
Adapt teaching methods tailored to varying abilities
Communicate confidently with staff, students and parents/carers
Contribute to the promotion and implementation of subject success
