Academics Bristol is seeking a talented and inspirational Teacher of English on a part-time, fixed-term basis. This is your opportunity to make a meaningful impact by delivering outstanding English lessons and supporting learners aged 16-19 as they progress towards their future goals, studying a range of vocational courses and A Levels, or resitting GCSE English and Maths in line with DfE funding.
Part-Time Teacher of English (0.4 FTE)
Location: Bristol (BS5)
Salary: Paid to scale (MPS/UPS as appropriate)
Contract: 1 Year Fixed-Term Contract
Working Pattern: Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday, Thursday morning
As a Teacher of English, you will:
Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in GCSE English and Functional Skills (Level 1 and 2).
Inspire and motivate students to achieve their best, regardless of background or ability.
Contribute to the wider life of the school, supporting enrichment and progression opportunities.
Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to ensure positive outcomes.
Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver a curriculum that promotes success and independence.We are looking for someone who is:
A qualified teacher (QTS/QTLS or equivalent).
A subject expert in GCSE English and Functional Skills English.
Experienced in delivering high-quality lessons across relevant key stages.
