Job Description
Interaction Education are pleased to be supporting one of our partner schools in the Milton Keynes area in their search for a teacher of French. This role is a contract position, running until the end of the academic year of 2025/2026.
The successful candidate should be able to demonstrate a strong working history of teaching languages (particularly French) at a secondary level.
The key responsibilities for the role can be found below:
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging French lessons to students of varying abilities.
Assess, monitor, and track student progress to ensure academic success.
Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and learning.
Prepare students for examinations (GCSE and potentially A-Level) and support their personal development.
Collaborate with colleagues to develop and enhance the French curriculum.
Participate in extracurricular activities, such as language clubs or cultural events, to promote the learning of French.
Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student progress and welfare.
Attend meetings, training sessions, and school events as required.
Qualifications and Experience:
A degree in French, Modern Languages, or a related field.
QTS (Qualified Teacher Status) or equivalent teaching certification.
Previous experience teaching French at the secondary level (desirable).
Strong knowledge of French language and culture.
Ability to teach French to GCSE level, with the potential for A-Level teaching.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Attributes:
Enthusiasm for French language and culture.
Ability to inspire and motivate students.
Experience with a variety of teaching methods and educational technology.]
