Teacher of Geography

Start date: April - July

Contract: Full-time

Daily rate: £150.00 - £220.00 (dependent on experience)

Premier Education are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Geography Teacher to join a thriving secondary school in Oldham. This is a full-time, temporary role beginning in April and continuing through to the end of the academic year in July.

This position offers the opportunity to be part of a supportive and collaborative humanities department, delivering high-quality Geography lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.

About the role:

You will play a key role in delivering engaging and well-structured lessons that support student progress and achievement. Working alongside experienced colleagues, you will contribute to maintaining a positive learning environment and high standards across the department.

Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering creative and effective Geography lessons

Monitoring and assessing student progress in line with school expectations

Creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Differentiating lessons to meet a range of learning needs

Supporting departmental planning and curriculum delivery

Adhering to school policies and safeguarding procedures

What we're looking for:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) - essential

Previous experience teaching Geography within a secondary school

Strong knowledge of the Geography curriculum

Confident classroom and behaviour management skills

A passion for teaching and engaging young people

Excellent organisational and communication skills

A commitment to safeguarding and student wellbeing
