Job Description
Veritas Education is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher of Girls PE to join a vibrant secondary school in Wakefield. This is an exciting opportunity for a qualified PE Teacher to inspire and motivate students to lead active and healthy lifestyles.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality PE lessons to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
Adopt a positive learning environment that promotes physical health, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Engage and motivate students in a variety of physical activities, including team sports, athletics, and fitness programs.
Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and support individual learning needs.
Organise and supervise extracurricular activities, sports teams, and school competitions.
Promote physical well-being, encouraging all students to participate and excel in physical education.
Work collaboratively with the PE department and contribute to the wider school community.Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience teaching PE at secondary school level is preferred, but NQTs are welcome to apply.
Strong knowledge of the PE curriculum and a variety of sports.
Enthusiastic, approachable, and committed to promoting physical activity.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
