A leading further education provider in the North East is looking to appoint a dedicated and innovative Teacher of Maths to join their English and Maths department. This is a fantastic opportunity to deliver high-quality teaching in both GCSE and Functional Skills Maths and make a real difference in learners' lives.
The Role:
As a Teacher of Maths, your key responsibilities will include:
Delivering engaging and effective Maths lessons that cater to a diverse range of learners.
Using a variety of teaching, learning and assessment strategies to promote progress and achievement.
Differentiating lessons to meet individual needs and support inclusive education.
Monitoring and assessing student work, providing meaningful feedback, and maintaining accurate records.
Contributing to the design and development of curriculum materials and resources.
Supporting student recruitment, enrolment, and course-related administrative tasks.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
A degree in a relevant subject and a recognised teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one).
Experience teaching GCSE and/or Functional Skills Maths.
Strong communication and organisational skills.
A passion for inspiring learners and a commitment to their progress and wellbeing.
Familiarity with learning technologies, student tracking, and progress monitoring systems.
A proactive and reflective approach to teaching and professional development.
