About the Role
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages to join our thriving department, teaching students aged 11-18. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner to inspire a love of languages and make a real difference in a supportive and forward-thinking school community.
Key Responsibilities
Teach students according to their educational needs, including setting and marking work to be completed in school and elsewhere.
Assess, record, and report on the attendance, progress, development, and attainment of students, maintaining accurate records as required.
Provide or contribute to oral and written assessments, reports, and references for individual students and groups.
Ensure that ICT, literacy, numeracy, and subject specialisms are effectively integrated into teaching and learning.
Undertake a designated programme of teaching, ensuring a high-quality learning experience that meets internal and external standards.
Prepare, plan, and regularly update engaging subject materials.
Use a range of delivery methods to stimulate learning and meet the diverse needs of students.
Maintain discipline in line with school procedures, encouraging high standards of punctuality, behaviour, and work.
Undertake assessment of students as required by examination bodies, departmental policies, and school procedures.
The Successful Candidate Will:
Have proven experience teaching Spanish and French at Key Stages 3 and 4, catering to a range of abilities.
Use a variety of teaching strategies, incorporating visual and auditory.
Develop students' communicative competence through effective classroom routines and target language use.
Be reflective and proactive in evaluating and improving their teaching practice.
Demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of curriculum and assessment developments in Modern Foreign Languages.
Be a motivated team player, able to build positive relationships and collaborate effectively.
Confidently use ICT to enhance teaching and learning.
