As a Teacher of PE, you will be responsible for delivering a varied and engaging curriculum that fosters a lifelong appreciation for health and fitness. Key Responsibilities:
Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons as a Teacher of PE across Key Stages 3–5, including team sports, fitness training, and individual physical activities.
Monitor and assess students' performance, offering constructive feedback to help them progress in their physical development.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that promotes respect, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
Take an active role in extracurricular activities and school sports events as a committed Teacher of PE.
Contribute to departmental planning and whole-school initiatives that enhance the PE curriculum.
Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in physical education and youth sport to inform your teaching practices as a forward-thinking Teacher of PE.
Maintain excellent classroom management and promote high standards of behaviour and engagement across all year groups.
Ideal Candidate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, with specialisation in Physical Education.
Proven experience working as a Teacher of PE in a secondary school setting.
Strong subject knowledge and an ability to inspire students of all abilities.
Excellent communication and organisational skills.
A proactive, collaborative attitude and a commitment to professional development.
A current enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).
