Academics, Canterbury are currently working with a lovely, inclusive secondary school in Canterbury who are seeking an RE Teacher to start in January 2026.
We are open to both full-time and part-time candidates who are dedicated to educating and nurturing students in the field of Religious Education.
Responsibilities:
Design and deliver engaging Religious Education lessons for secondary school students
Explore various religious traditions and beliefs while encouraging critical thinking and respect for diverse perspectives
Develop and implement age-appropriate curriculum that aligns with national standards
Assess student learning and provide constructive feedback to support their academic growth
Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive learning environment within the school community
Organize and participate in extracurricular activities related to Religious EducationRequirements:
Qualified teacher status (QTS) with a focus on Religious Education or related field
Passion for teaching and promoting understanding of diverse religious beliefs
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the needs of students with different learning styles
Previous experience teaching Religious Education at the secondary school level is desirable
