Key Responsibilities of a Teacher of Science:
As a Teacher of Science, your responsibilities will include:
Planning, delivering, and assessing high-quality Science lessons in line with the national curriculum
Teaching across Key Stages 3 and 4, inspiring students through practical experiments and engaging learning activities
Using a range of innovative teaching techniques to motivate students and foster scientific curiosity
Tracking and assessing pupil progress, providing constructive feedback and support where needed
Creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment for all learners
Requirements:
To be successful in this Teacher of Science role, you should have:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
Strong subject knowledge across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
Experience teaching Science in a UK secondary school setting
Excellent communication, classroom management, and organisational skills
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
