KS2 Teacher - Teacher of the Deaf
Academics is working closely with a school based in South Birmingham to appoint a Teacher of the Deaf (ToD) to start in September 2025. This is a full time position and experience for this role is essential.
The ideal Teacher will have experience with a range of teaching different learning difficulties and must have experience working with children who have hearing impairment needs. You will need to be resourceful and creative in your teaching approach and have excellent time classroom management skills.
Successful ToD's must have:
QTS & eligibility to work within the UK
Experience of teaching children with hearing impairment
Extensive KS1 & KS2 subject knowledge
Think and plan strategically
Good behaviour management skills
Commitment to learning and development of pupils
Teach at a consistently good - outstanding level
Have strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with staff, parents and students
Academics Ltd requires all Teachers to have a fully enhanced DBS check (or willing to do one), minimum of two references plus a face to face interview
