September Start - Looking to recruit a compassionate and dedicated 1-1 Teaching Assistant to work with a Year 3 student that has Global Development Delay and Epilepsy at a Hornchurch School.
The student has limited communication, uses the Now & Next board and working at a low level academically. The successful candidate will provide structured learning, build confidence, and develop the students independence throughout the school day.
Monday - Friday, 8.30am to 3.30pm (Term time only)
Teaching Assistant Responsibilities & Qualification:
* Deliver structured learning activities using a Now and Next approach and Bucket Time.
* Support the students communication, engagement, and social development.
* Adapt learning tasks to meet the students individual needs and abilities.
* Ensure the students safety and wellbeing at all times, including following any epilepsy care plans.
* Experience and an understanding of Global Development Delay, communication difficulties and Learning Needs.
* Patient, nurturing, and resilient with a child-centred approach.
* Teaching Assistant L2 / L3, SEND, Psychology or Care qualification
