ASC Support Assistant – Year 2 (Primary School, Blackpool)

Teaching Personnel are working closely with a welcoming Primary School in Blackpool who are seeking a dedicated and compassionate ASC Support Assistant to join their Year 2 team.
The successful candidate will be supporting a pupil with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC) on a one-to-one basis, helping them to access the curriculum, develop their social skills, and thrive in the classroom. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a positive difference in children’s lives.
Role Responsibilities:
Provide tailored one-to-one support for a pupil with ASC in Year 2.
Work alongside the class teacher and SENCO to implement personalised learning plans.
Support with social communication, emotional regulation, and classroom engagement.
Promote independence and build confidence in the child’s learning.
Foster a nurturing and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
Experience supporting children with additional needs, ideally ASC.
A patient, empathetic, and resilient approach.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
A DBS on the update service (or willing to apply through Teaching Personnel).
